Swissfillon, based at BioArk, expands its site in Visp
Five months ago, Swissfillon AG, a company based at BioArk Visp, was taken over by ten23 health, a Basel-based company. A few months later, the Valais site of Swissfillon is expanding, as explained in an article published in March in the Walliser Bote. An additional cleanroom area of 1,000 square meters will be added, in the immediate vicinity of the Lonza chemical site and the BioArk in Visp, where Swissfillon has been located since its foundation.
This is good news for the town of Visp. Swissfillon is expanding its site: a new area will be used for cold storage, visual inspection and the creation of clean rooms for additional services such as device assembly and secondary packaging, according to the Walliser Bote.
The CEO of ten23 health, Hanns-Christian Mahler, is delighted with this step: "Swissfillon joined ten23 health only five months ago. This first expansion of production in Visp is a strong commitment to our location in Valais". According to him, it is also a proof of performance for the team in Visp.
New jobs could be created
The Walliser Bote points out that last October, the new CEO of ten23 health declared, after the takeover of the Valais start-up, that he was about to create 80 new jobs in the region. He seems to be keeping his word. Indeed, this extension of the site would make it possible to exploit synergies, to adapt the offers and to propose new attractive jobs.
